How to Register

Applying for your 30-day comprehensive car insurance couldn’t be easier. Simply complete your details below, whilst making sure that you meet the eligibility criteria. Please also take this time to review the cover on the Important Product Information Document (IPID). Once you have registered, all that is left is to wait for our call nearer the time to your delivery, where we will take some more information from you and then e-mail across your 30 day cover, as well as offer you a quote for cover beyond that.

Your Care by Volvo Eligibility

Before applying for your complimentary cover we need to make sure you are eligible. Please make sure you read the following carefully and you meet all of our eligibility criteria below:

1. All Drivers
  • are aged between 25 and 85 years of age
  • hold a current full UK or EU driving licence for a minimum period of 12 months.
  • are Covered for Social, Domestic and Pleasure purposes only, other than the Policyholder and their Spouse and/or Civil Partner, who, subject to an acceptable occupation, will be insured for personal business and commuting to work.
2. Claims and Convictions
  • the accumulative total for all drivers does not exceed more than 3 'at fault' claims in the last 5 years
  • the accumulative total for all drivers does not exceed more than 3 'minor convictions' in the last 5 years

How to claim

We aim to provide you with the best claims service that we can. If you use the services we have put in place to achieve this, we can provide a better service than when the claim is outside our control.

1. To make a claim

2. If any accident, injury, loss or damage occurs you, or your legal representative, must follow these simple steps:
  • Call us as soon as possible after the accident – please have your policy number and as much information as possible about the claim ready when you call.
  • If your car is stolen or vandalised, report this to the police immediately and take a note of the crime reference number.
  • Speak to us before you make any arrangements for replacement or repair
3. You must also
  • Immediately send us, all communications from other people involved without replying
  • Immediately tell us about and send to us any notice of intended prosecution, inquest, fatal accident inquest, or any writ, summons or process without replying.
  • Tell us straightaway if the insured vehicle is stolen and you later get it back, or discover where it is.
  • Get our permission before ordering any new part or accessory, and before paying for any transport outside the United Kingdom.
  • Give any information, help, co-operation and documentation we need, including going to court if necessary.
  • Pay any excess that applies
  • If you are registered for VAT, pay any VAT that applies
4. You must not, without our consent
  • Negotiate or admit responsibility
  • Make any offer, promise, payment or settlement
5. You must not, without our consent
  • Have total control to conduct, defend or settle any claim
  • Take proceedings in your name, or that of any other person insured, at our own expense and for our own benefit to recover any payment we have made.
